Ready to spark student engagement and build authentic community in your school? In this interactive session, school leaders will experience a fast-paced, hands-on simulation of Project Citizen, one of the Center for Civic Education’s flagship programs that blends civic learning with social-emotional growth. It's experiential learning, authentic assessment, literacy, civic education, all rolled into one amazing curriculum!

Working together, you’ll pick a real-world issue your school community cares about, dig into possible solutions, and design a public policy proposal—with an action plan to match. Then, bring your ideas to life in a “civic showcase” (yes, it’s like a science fair, but way more policy-forward).

Along the way, you’ll practice the same SEL skills students will develop through this program. You’ll leave energized, with a toolkit and game plan to bring Project Citizen back to your staff—and to inspire your students to become changemakers in their communities.
