About me
Dr. Nicki K. Gonias has been a District Instructional Leader for the Mineola School District for the last three years, where she manages the PreK-12 curriculum, provides coaching and support for teachers, and leads professional development opportunities. With over 15 years of experience as a co-certified Mathematics/ENL teacher, she has honed her skills teaching within both the NYCDOE and Long Island. Nicki recently earned her doctorate from Molloy University, completing a dissertation titled "Multilingual Learners' and Their Teachers' Perceptions of Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Practices in the Mainstream Classroom: A Mixed Methods Approach." She is now part of the Molloy Ed.D faculty as an adjunct instructor for the Quantitative Research course, while also teaching in the undergraduate Mathematics and Science department.
