Hello, I’m Ian MacCormack, currently serving as Principal at Highland Elementary School in Highland, NY. I’m an enthusiastic and innovative educational leader with nearly two decades of experience spanning classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and school administration. My work is grounded in a commitment to fostering professional growth and elevating student achievement through collaboration, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
Throughout my career, I’ve championed initiatives like the Science of Reading, Restorative Practices, and AVID, and aim for transformations in instructional technology and MTSS. I hold advanced degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development, and I’m proud to have shared my work at regional and statewide conferences, including NYSCATE and NERIC.
I’m excited to connect with fellow educators as we continue learning from each other and working together to create schools where all students can thrive.
