Dr. Frias is an experienced educational leader and dedicated professional in curriculum and instruction. As Director of ENL/MLL, he brings a wealth of expertise from his previous leadership roles, including Program Administrator at Eastern Suffolk BOCES, Principal at Valley Stream 13, and Assistant Principal at Hewlett-Woodmere UFSD. Across these roles, he has championed inclusive and effective learning environments that support both teachers and students.
Dr. Frias’ leadership is defined by collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. His background in instructional coaching—serving as both an Instructional Coach and Teacher Development Coach—reflects his dedication to mentoring educators, guiding curriculum development, and promoting high-quality teaching strategies.
He began his career teaching in the Bronx, where he gained a deep understanding of the complexities and potential within urban education. This experience continues to shape his empathetic and solutions-oriented leadership approach.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Dr. Frias brings discipline, resilience, and a strong service ethic to his work in education. He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and remains deeply committed to empowering educators and students through innovative practices, equity-focused leadership, and academic excellence.
